What Does It Mean to Rebuild Together?
Dear Edgewood Family,
We are moving toward a “generosity initiative” called “Rebuilding Together” that will help our church raise some of the funds for 5 Priorities that are needed for the renovation and rebuilding of the incredible facility the Lord has provided for us.
With “Rebuilding Together” there will be three luncheons in the Fall for you to choose from to hear about the specific renovation projects and their cost.
The luncheons you can choose from will be on Sunday, October 4th , Sunday, October 18th or Sunday, November 1st and will each be from 11:15AM-12:15PM.
There will be…lunch, definitely lunch. And while we are eating, there will be a presentation of each of the projects in which renovation or replacement has become necessary.
There will also be a time for Q&A and childcare will be provided for each luncheon.
After the lunch, you will be provided with a Commitment Card for you to take home. You will be asked to do three things with that Commitment Card. First, we ask that you pray and ask what part God wants you to have in “Rebuilding Together.” Second, we ask that you simply obey what He desires.
Finally, we will all bring our Commitment Cards to our “Rebuilding Together” Celebration Sunday on November 22nd.
This Sunday, we will be having Rebuilding Together focused worship services. We will see, as we look at the Old Testament, that temple rebuilding and repair has always been a normal part of life for God’s people throughout history. Learning from the lessons of King Joash, we will see how we can be successful in our journey as we rebuild together!
Rebuilding with you,
Pastor Doug
