A New Edgewood Ministry

The Gospel Outreach Team

Dear Edgewood family, Part of the history of our congregation is that the Lord lays particular and unique

ministries on the hearts and minds of groups of people. This philosophy of service led to the formation of Healthy Harvest, Set Free Roc, the Set Free Pantry, ECAT, the Dads’ ARK group, and various world mission enterprises through the years.

It has led to the creation of a new ministry here at Edgewood that is called the Gospel Outreach Team or GO Team for short. We realize that the Lord has placed us on this Southeastern corridor (Jefferson Road) to reach people who are driving past us by the thousands per day, along with those who are from our region. So the GO team has been formed and is gathering to develop strategies for outreach.

A part of this involves placing a Prayer Request box in front of the church property on Jefferson Road. It might look like a "lending library," but it will be a drop box for those driving and walking by to submit prayer requests. These requests will then be prayed for by a prayer team. This is one way to let those who drive by know that they are on our minds and on God's heart!

As the team continues to pray about and plan for this ministry, we will let you know when a specific outreach is planned. If you would like to be a part of the planning process please email Don and Suzi Grosz at dasgrosz@rochester.rr.com and they will let you know when the next meeting is.
