A Special Offering for Children in Haiti

Dear Edgewood family,

While at our Annual Conference, Superintendent Pam Braman shared that 12,000 children who are connected to the 55 International Childcare Free Methodist schools in Haiti are receiving food. Because there is such a great need, the Haiti Food Fund is being depleted.

While there, I sensed a leading that I believe was from the Holy Spirit that we as a church are to come alongside these kids and help in this specific time of need.

The Board and I ask that we set a target of $20,000 to give to International Childcare Ministries for the Haiti Food Fund.

This will be above and beyond the $97,900 that we will give toward missions this year through our operating budget.

We will begin this special offering on Father’s Day, June 21, and continue through August 9, wrapping it up at the time Vacation Bible School finishes. Brian, our Children’s Director, is looking for a way for VBS families and kids to participate.

Edgewood family, we can make a difference. We can’t do everything, but we can set the pace for other churches to get involved in meeting the need and loving people.

“What if I want to give early?” Go for it. “How do I make out my check?” To Edgewood Church with the “Haiti Food Fund” in the memo. Or you can give online using the link below.

Partnering with you,

Pastor Doug and the Leadership Board
