Deaf Awareness & Accessibility Workshop

Join us for a 40–60 minute workshop designed to help our church family grow in Deaf awareness and accessibility. Led by the Edgewood Church Accessibility Team, this interactive session will introduce practical ways we can support Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals within our congregation and community.

You'll learn about Deaf culture, common communication barriers, and simple tools to help make Edgewood a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. A monitor and visual presentation will be used to enhance the learning experience. Light refreshments will be provided.

Who can attend?
This workshop is open to the entire church. Space is limited to about 20 participants — first come, first seated.

Where?
A classroom space on campus (room assigned closer to event date).

Details:
• Begins shortly after the 11:15am service ends
• Runs 40–60 minutes
• Light desserts served (plates/napkins provided)
• No need to bring supplies — everything is provided
