Membership
Interested in becoming a member? We’re excited to walk with you on this next step!
1. Attend Discover Edgewood
Membership begins by completing our Discover Edgewood class, where you’ll learn who we are and how to get connected. (learn more on this below)
2. Join us on Membership Sunday
After taking the class, you can become an official member during one of our Membership Sundays, held a couple of times a year (typically winter and summer). New members are welcomed and prayed for during the service.
If you’ve already taken the class and are ready to become a member, sign up here.
If you still need Discover Edgewood, see the information below.
What is Discover Edgewood?
We offer "Discover Edgewood" a new attenders one time, 90-minute class- twice a year. The class is free and materials are provided. An announcement with a signup will be posted in the EdgeNotes newsletter at least three weeks before.
*You don’t have to become a member after taking the class—but it is a required step if you choose to move forward.
Consider the Commitment
Membership is more than a title. It means:
Investing in your local church through service and community
Participating in leadership and decision-making
Being eligible to vote in annual church elections and on major financial decisions
Becoming part of the pool of eligible lay leaders for roles like our Leadership Board
Learn More About Our Denomination
Edgewood is part of the Free Methodist Church USA. Curious about what that means?
