Facilities Director

Part Time (20 Hrs) - Flexible Hours w/ on-call requirements

Start Date - Fall 2026

The Position:

The Facilities Manager will oversee building maintenance, provide vendor management, and will manage safety compliance for fire and building safety. This person will need to have administrative gifts in organization, an ability to work as a part of a team and will need to be able to effectively manage a large facility.

Doug Langford - Lead Pastor

Qualifications:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and

    building management systems (BMS) along with building infrastructure.

  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage teams and communicate

    effectively with vendors, staff, and upper management.

  • Organizational Skills: High-level multitasking abilities, attention to detail.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), walk, kneel, and climb as necessary for inspections. Handyman abilities a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Building Maintenance & Operations: Overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, performing regular inspections, and scheduling preventative maintenance to prevent downtime.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Sourcing, negotiating, and overseeing contracts

    with external service providers (cleaning, security, landscaping, snow removal,

    utilities, waste management).

  • Safety &Compliance: Ensuring the facility complies with health, safety, security,

    and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, fire safety, building codes).

  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Developing and managing facility budgets,

    tracking expenses, and finding cost-saving opportunities.

  • Space Planning & Projects: Coordinating office moves, renovations, and

    reconfigurations to optimize workspace utilization. Assist in setting up and staging church events. (e.g., Tables, chairs, signage)

  • Team Leadership: Supervising maintenance, custodial, and

    building volunteers.

  • Emergency Response: Serving as the primary contact for after-hours building

    emergencies and implementing disaster mitigation plans.
