Facilities Director
Part Time - Flexible Hours w/ on-call requirements

The Position: (replace w/facilities intro)
The Audio & Video Production Director will oversee the audio/visual needs for all departments and the Sunday worship livestream at Edgewood Church. This person will have administrative gifts of organization, time management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Doug Langford - Lead Pastor
Qualifications:
Experience: Typically, 3-5+ years in facilities management, commercial real estate, or building maintenance.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and
building management systems (BMS) along with building infrastructure.
Leadership & Communication: Ability to manage teams and communicate
effectively with vendors, staff, and upper management.
Organizational Skills: High-level multitasking abilities, attention to detail.
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or business preferred; Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), walk, kneel, and climb as necessary for inspections. Handyman abilities a plus.
Responsibilities:
Building Maintenance & Operations: Overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, performing regular inspections, and scheduling preventative maintenance to prevent downtime.
Vendor & Contract Management: Sourcing, negotiating, and overseeing contracts
with external service providers (cleaning, security, landscaping, snow removal,
utilities, waste management).
Safety &Compliance: Ensuring the facility complies with health, safety, security,
and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, fire safety, building codes).
Budgeting & Financial Management: Developing and managing facility budgets,
tracking expenses, and finding cost-saving opportunities.
Space Planning & Projects: Coordinating office moves, renovations, and
reconfigurations to optimize workspace utilization. Assist in setting up and staging church events. (e.g., Tables, chairs, signage)
Team Leadership: Supervising maintenance, custodial, security staff and
volunteers.
Emergency Response: Serving as the primary contact for after-hours building
emergencies and implementing disaster mitigation plans.
