Join us for a powerful morning of education, awareness, and action as we address the reality of human trafficking in our region. Hosted by Edgewood’s Set Free Ministry in partnership with Brightstar Community and the Western NY Human Trafficking Task Force, this event is open to anyone interested in learning more or getting involved. Our Speakers will shine a light on the reality of human trafficking in our region—and equip us with tools to respond.
*This event is teen friendly, but there may be mention of presence of trafficking and exploitation.

Brightstar Community is a residential program in Rochester NY that is dedicated to women survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. To assist in long term stable housing and the coinciding recovery/healing process.
The Western District of New York Human Trafficking Task Force is a multi-disciplinary Task Force that brings law enforcement and social service agencies together to work on human trafficking cases within the seventeen counties comprising the Western parts of Upstate New York. The Task Force is a collaborative effort funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Office for Victims of Crime.
Schedule:
A continental breakfast with coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall starting at 9:30 a.m.
The speaker session will follow in the Chapel.
